2011 Parade of Christmas Trees

It's time again for the Annual Parade of Christmas Trees at the Stockton Public Library. This is the 27th year for the display so let's make this one the biggest yet. We are asking for your help again this year to make the display a success by having your organization, business, classroom or you as an individual put up and decorate a tree.
Trees may be up any time between October 24, 2011 and November 18th, 2011 at 5:00 pm during regular Library hours.
Remember to bring your own tree skirts and extension cords and mark them.
The Library will be open from 1:00 to 4:00 on Friday, November 25th in conjunction with the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce Olde Time Christmas that day. Trees will remain on display throughout the month of December during regular Library hours.
There will be People's Choice Awards 1st and 2nd for a Youth and Adult Division sponsored by the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce. Viewers will be able to vote for their favorite tree.
Prizes will be awarded in January 2012.
Please register your tree at the Library, 785-425-6372.
Please remember to take down your tree sometime between Dec. 27th and Jan 2, 2012, during regular Library hours.

Thank you in advance for your participation and support!

Go GREEN

The Stockton Public Library is having a Go GREEN project

We have donated white mesh feed bags that we are sewing up into bags to hold various items, books, towels, groceries, etc. We have several sizes available the small bags are selling for $2.00, medium bags are selling for $3.00, and our large bags are selling for $5.00. The donations are going towards programs at the library.

The library also has information on "Altered Books" projects that can be made out of recycled books, (book sale books) that range from book safes, purses, shelves to baby shower and bridal shower gifts.

If interested in more information on either project we can be reached at Stockton Public Library, 124 N Cedar, Stockton KS 67669 or phone number is 785 425-6372.
