Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds

Our Summer Reading Program is coming to a close with the Royal Banquet.
We had six great weeks of programs, they ranged from dragons, castles, knights,Kings, Queens, even the Frog Prince was in attendance and everyone got a chance to kiss a frog. None however turned into princes. We also had a guest magician who taught great magic tricks, to a fortune teller, who was able to tell the childrens best kept secrets. Some of the Summer activities included building castles, coats of arms, wizzard hats, dragon puppets, and much more. For the Royal Banquet we had a feast of chicken on a stick, watermelon wedges, and dragon pie cookies, and the ever wonderful kool-aid. The children all enjoyed games of jousting, dragon pie toss, spinning straw into gold relay, t-shirt decorating, the children all got their pictures taken for the paper. It was a great ending for our Summer 2005 Reading Program. Many thanks to all the volunteers. Without you, we could not do all the things we do for the children of our community.
Thanks!
